Utility Engineering encompasses Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), utility coordination and utility design. SUE involves investigation of subsurface utilities through a suite of geophysical equipment, facilitating better information on existing utilities prior to the design and construction phases. Utility design and coordination includes conflict analysis, utility relocation design,facilitation of utility relocations, construction observation and inspection of utility relocations. All services can be performed independently or combined, for customized project support. These are critical path activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Our services include landscape and irrigation design, urban design, presentation graphics, renderings and simulations, visual assessments, vegetation inventories, wayfinding and interpretive sign design, stormwater management plans and structure aesthetics. Our staff is also experienced in public involvement and stakeholder outreach.  We can support a project from concept through construction.

Our team can support Planning and Environmental Linkage, Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements with investigations and assessments for utility infrastructure, hazardous materials, stormwater management plans, and visual impact assessments.  We can also manage the NEPA process to obtain environmental clearances and our staff is experienced leading public involvement and stakeholder outreach.
