Utility Engineering encompasses Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), utility coordination and utility design. SUE involves investigation of subsurface utilities through a suite of geophysical equipment, facilitating better information on existing utilities prior to the design and construction phases. Utility design and coordination includes conflict analysis, utility relocation design, facilitation of utility relocations, construction observation and inspection of utility relocations. All services can be performed independently or combined, for customized project support. These are critical path activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Goodbee now offers Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) services , including designation (QLB) and test holes (QLA). SUE plans are developed to CRS 9-1.5 and ASCE 38 standards to complete the full suite of utility consultation services already offered by Goodbee. Staff offer expert SUE consultation to our engineering and agency clients from project ideation to completions.
For over 25 years, we have been resolving complex utility relocations on major public and private projects. Our proven process combines close coordination, conflict analysis, critical design solutions, scheduling, and cost estimating to develop plans and utility agreements that benefit both our clients and utility companies. Goodbee also offers construction oversight services and utility infrastructure planning.
We provide cost effective design for water and sanitary lines, communication, power, and gas lines. Our Autocad or Microstation 2D and 3D designs are consistent with our clients’ current design standards. Our cost estimates include data from recent Colorado projects, and our utility agreements reflect our understanding of utility companies processes and criteria.
